From Traveler to Tour Leader: How a travel Changed the Way I See the World

In December 2022, I found myself with leftover vacation days and no one to travel with. So, almost by chance, I joined a group trip. That’s how I discovered WeRoad — and unknowingly, I opened the door to something much bigger than a holiday.
That journey wasn’t just a vacation. It was a spark. Just a few months later, in summer 2023, I became a WeRoad Coordinator and led my very first group to Jordan. From the desert of Wadi Rum to the ancient ruins of Petra, that trip was the beginning of a new chapter in my life.

The People Make the Journey
Since then, I've felt a rollercoaster of emotions — all real, all intense. I’ve learned to accept people as they are, to soften the sharp edges of my character, and to find common ground even with the most different personalities. After all, as I always remind my “pax” (short for "participants"), what unites us all is the journey itself.
Group travel is unpredictable — and that’s part of the magic. I’ve dealt with unexpected situations, like when a traveler got sick just an hour before my train, or when a local guide ghosted me right before a big day. But I’ve learned to stay calm, adapt, and lead with confidence. “With or without a guide,” I once told my group, “we’ll make this trip amazing — one stop at a time.”
Why I Started This Blog
People often ask me why I started a travel blog. The answer is simple: to inspire. Not just to travel, but also to not travel — at least not in the wrong way. If you're heading to Cuba hoping for espresso and spaghetti, maybe you're not really looking for an adventure. Not everyone is meant to travel the same way, and that’s okay. What matters is being honest about what you're looking for.
Travel can be intense, raw, joyful, uncomfortable — and life-changing. I want this blog to be a space for reflections, for stories that linger, and for real talk about what it means to see the world.
My Style of Travel
So, what’s my travel style? A little bit of everything. I love mixing adventure and relaxation, culture and comfort. I adapt to the rhythm of the group — I believe every journey has its own pace. What makes me unique as a traveler or a storyteller? I don’t really know. You’d have to ask the people who’ve traveled with me. But I do know one thing: each of them has left me a word, a moment, or a piece of wisdom I’ll carry forever.
